8.4 Nursery Contract of Agreement

1. The Neighbourhood Nursery Agrees to

  1. Care for the Child during the contracted hours.
  2. Comply with all requirements of registration as laid down by the regulatory authority (Early Years Directorate, Ofsted) and the Care Standards Act, part 10A.
  3. Comply with all requirements laid down by his/her Insurance company.
  4. Provide suitable developmental experiences appropriate to the age and stage of development of the child named.
  5. Notify the parent/guardian of any accident or injury occurring whilst the child is in the care of the Neighbourhood Nursery.
  6. Be available to discuss with the parent/guardian(s) the care and development of the child, to be arranged if either parent/guardian(s) OR Neighbourhood Nursery requests it, at a mutually convenient time if so required by them.
  7. To provide the child with the following meals, such meals to be nutritionally balanced and prepared with due regard to the dietary, cultural and social requirements. Breakfast, Dinner and Tea as appropriate.
  8. Manage the Child's behaviour without the use of physical punishment.


2. The Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Agree to

  1. Pay the fees as set out overleaf on the day agreed.
  2. Arrive and collect the Child on time.
  3. Provide the following items:
    1. Change of clothes when toilet training.
    2. Set of outdoor clothes suitable for the weather.
    3. Other items (eg. toiletries, nappies etc.)
  4. Give at least 4 weeks notice of annual leave and as much notice of other leave as possible.
  5. Provide necessary information requested by the Neighbourhood Nursery in connection with his/her registration and notify them of any changes to that information.
  6. Be available to discuss with the Neighbourhood Nursery the care and development of the child if so requested by the Neighbourhood Nursery at a mutually convenient time.
  7. Inform the Neighbourhood Nursery if the Child has been ill within 24 hours before a contracted period and respect the Neighbourhood Nursery's right to decide whether or not to accept a sick child for care.
  8. Inform the Neighbourhood Nursery of any medication prescribed by the Child's doctor and give written permission for the Neighbourhood Nursery to administer the medication if such administration is required.  Written permission will be required each time medication is administered.
  9. Accept that the Neighbourhood Nursery will not use physical punishment in the discipline of children.
  10. Notify the Neighbourhood Nursery at the beginning of each contracted period of any accident or injury the child may have suffered since last in the care of the Neighbourhood Nursery, as the Neighbourhood Nursery will record details.
  11. Provide additional monitoring information as required for Neighbourhood Nursery funding.
